Animals have fascinated me since my earliest childhood. Almost nothing has changed during 5 decades.
Fish, amphibians, snakes, birds and small mammals served as a ladder to my favorite species, the turtle.
I have no special focus, but become determined when necessary or when I encounter something new. Whether it is a sick Trachemys/Chrysemys or similar common species or an extremely rare and/or sensitive species, they all receive the same attention and affection.
I care for and treat all turtles with the same dedication and commitment.
In my opinion, turtles have the intense olfactory sensitivity of snakes and the intelligence of birds. We are dealing with a very sophisticated group of animals – awesome!
